    1. TIL that "trypanophobia" is the clinical name for "needlephobia". (Also, for those who have it, there are oral and nasal vaccines in clinical trials.)

    It's got the same root, trypanon, as "trepanning". There appears to be some controversy (per Wikipedia, "citation needed") over whether "trypanophobia" is valid terminology, so I guess "needle phobia" is the proper name after all.
