@EricGrenierCBC Nowhere does it recommend giving less information. It's saying that "probabilistic horserace coverage confuses the public" and that "those concerned about the effects of polling [on turnout]… should be especially attentive".

@EricGrenierCBC i.e. don't just give numbers, give the context for them. It's the same problem as with all statistics reporting: 10% decrease in cancer rate, 200 point rise in stock market index, accuracy to 85% 19 times out of 20. (BTW, a Pew Research Center researcher is second author.)
